Geger Temple Nusa Dua Bali

Geger Temple is located on the south end of the beach with a location slightly uphill, at the end of the cliff. The temple is relatively quiet and away from the crowd. Many Hindus pray on this temple especially when the temple ceremony are held.

Geger temple has been very long established but not much historical references or manuscript. There are sources that mention about the Temple Geger, Manuscript of Rasmi Sancaya which related to the Dang Hyang Nirartha journey (holy hermit from East Java) in Bali Island. Pura Geger is also linked to the Gunung Tedung Temple (or Gunung Payung Temple). This temple is located 5 kilometers to the south, about 15 minutes and close to Pandawa Beach.

Another manuscript is Babad Dalem Pemutih (Petak Jingga) associated with the Gelgel Kingdom in Klungkung Regency and the rebellion of Ki Maruti. The rebellion can be defeated and displaced up stranded in Karang Enjung, later known as Pura Geger.

However, the definite historical manuscript related to the history of Geger Temple Nusa Dua Bali has not been found and still mystery.

This temple can be accessed via the beach continued to the south through The Mulia Hotel beachfront. Visitor can also use vehicle directly to Geger Temple with the small road entrance from the Jalan Nusa Dua Selatan. This road located after Sekar Nusa Villas and The Puri Nusa Dua. In line with The Mulia Hotel and before long bridge heading to Nikko Hotel. Geger Temple is facilitated with large parking lot for visitor.

A golden sandy beach and romantic deep blue sea are the perfect place including the magical temple on the southern end. Take your time to travel to Geger Bali, hopefully helpful and thank you!
