Cucukan Beach is a sparkle grayish black sandy beach with natural environment and nice view across the blue water. This beach has a calm and shady atmosphere, also endowed with breathtaking sunrise. Here you can enjoy the panorama of rice fields, rivers, green vegetation along the coast, Mount Agung, and Nusa Penida Islands.
The beach is situated in Medahan Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. It's less than an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Drive east to the Jl. Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra in Medahan. This lovely beach is located on the southern side and only 450 meters from the main road.
This spot is easily accessible by car. Parking is available on the beach with a sacred temple next to it (Pura Dalem Cucukan). There are several villas with sea view, also food-stalls to buy water and take shelter.
This coast has suffered from severe abrasion in recent years. The government and other stakeholders have fixed the issue by installing the revetment along with beach footpath attached to it. You can walk in the morning, beachside jog, or bike ride along the strip and explore interesting spots.
The local fishermen often use this revetment as a place to lean the boat. The traditional wooden boats line up neatly with beautiful colors and in harmony with the surroundings. In addition, there are also lush rice fields around the beach. Some farmers are harvesting their paddies and processing it on the spot.
This great spot is close to Keramas Beach, one of the best surf spots in Bali. When Keramas is crowded, surfers usually come here to enjoy their waves with quiet atmosphere.
The beach is still less visited and only crowded during weekend or during the Banyu Pinaruh (a day after Saraswati Day). In the morning, there are some anglers on the beach looking for catches. This is an interesting surf fishing spot and worth a try.
This seaside is a cool place to hang out and fun family picnic. You can soaking or swimming with the children while enjoying the warm tropical water. Even so, need to be careful, because the waves are strong and there is no beach guard.
This gorgeous beach features stunning coastal panoramas, clad in a beautiful countryside. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the coastal village with a slower rhythm and friendly people. This place does have a nice vibe and also offers the opportunity for a relaxing escape by the sea.
