Echo Beach or often called Batu Mejan Beach is a lovely grayish-black sandy beach with nice seascapes and powerful waves. This beach is one of the best surf spot in Bali and has attracts many surfers both locally and internationally for a great surfing experience. Surfer will be greeted by the presence of a remarkable holy temple on the beach (Pura Batu Mejan) with a beautiful panorama along the coast.
The beach is situated in Canggu Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. Echo Beach is tucked away between the Pererenan Beach and Old Mans/Batu Bolong Beach. This spot is easily accessible by car and less than an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
You can reach it through the Jl. Sunset Road then continues on the Jl. Raya Canggu. Follow this road until you hit the Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan. The beach is on the south side and less than 10 minutes (3 kilometers) from the main road.
There is parking for cars and motorcycle and will be charged with low fees. This incredible spot set amid a coastal village with a slower rhythm of life, peaceful environment, fresh air and fertile rice fields on its vicinity. This beach is an estuary of small streams around it, lot oaf driftwoods and plastic wrappers.
Surf At Echo Beach Bali
This is one of the surfers' favorite spots. There are three surf breaks: Echo Main Beach, Sand Bar, and River Mouth. The beach is not wide enough and often crowded with surfer. This is said to be the most consistent and famous surf break on the West Coast of Bali.
This beach has been the surfer’s heaven, can get easily crowded and a lot of competition getting a wave also accidents. The waves are huge and powerful, recommended for advance to professional surfers. The best time to surf here is during the dry season, from May to October.
This is close to other famous surf spot such as: Berawa Beach, Old Mans, Batu Bolong, and Pererenan Beach. Plenty of cafes, mini bar, and food-stall lining on the paved courtyard in front the temple. Such a nice spot for chilling, watching the wave and surfers.
The beach itself is a fun spot to hang out, spending a day, lazing on the lounger, watching blue water, enjoy a cold beer and the cool sea-breeze. The atmosphere here is quieter and relaxing. The beach is also endowed with a magnificent sunset and creates a romantic vibe along the coast.
