The statue is located in a strategic location at the entrance to Denpasar City from the east. It is also a meeting of traffic flows from three directions, from east (Klungkung and Karangasem), north (Gianyar) and south (Sanur and Nusa Dua). To enjoy the beauty of this artwork, you must be careful. Traffic flow here is so crowded and there is no specific area for parking.

This statue shows the story from Ramayana. It is said that Rama went to Alengka to save Sita, who had been kidnapped by Rahwana. On their way, Rama and his troops were stopped because a vast ocean stretched before him.

After asking for help from Lord Varuna, the ruler of the sea, Rama was advised to make a big bridge without the need to dry or reduce the depth of the ocean. With this bridge, Rama and his troops managed to cross to Alengka, defeated Rahwana, and saved his lover, Sita.

In this area, you can see the statue of Rama in the middle and surrounded by monkey commanders including Sugriwa, Nala, Anoman, and Anggada.

This statue contains philosophical values such as the leadership values shown by Rama, the values of mutual cooperation by sharing the burden together (by his troops), and also the love between Rama and Sita.

The Ramayana story is indeed embedded in the hearts of local people, especially Balinese. No wonder the existence of this sculpture is so popular and invites a lot of admiration and appreciation from those who see it.

The Rama statue itself is done by sculpture artist I Wayan Winten, from Mas Village, Ubud, Gianyar Regency. He also made several other magnificent sculptures in Bali, such as: Dewa Ruci Statue (Simpang Siur/ Simpang Dewa Ruci), Kebo Iwa Statue (Gianyar), Satria Gatotkaca Statue (Ngurah Rai/ Tuban), and others.

The Rama statue was designed with a height of 12 meters. While the overall height of this statue (Titi Banda) reaches around 17.5 meters. This work of art as a whole was completed in 2014.

This statue has become an icon for Denpasar City and can be enjoyed by the wider community. At night, the statue is adorned with colorful lights and looks really beautiful. The existence of this statue gives an artistic and classic impression for Denpasar City.
