Sanghyang Grodog Dance Bali

Tari Sanghyang Grodog is one of the dances that are sacred to the people on Nusa Lembongan Island, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency. This dance functions as a ritual of repellent reinforcements from disease outbreaks that attack residents, livestock and as a ritual to invoke rain when there is "panceklik" or food scarcity.

Sanghyang Deling Dance (Tari Sanghyang Deling Bali)

Sanghyang Deling Dance is performed by girls who are still teenagers. The unseen force or holy spirit of Dewi Sri as the Goddess of Fertility is invited to enter the dancer's body. This sacred dance is intended as a repellent reinforcement’s ritual against disease outbreaks and disasters, asking for salvation and fertility of agricultural crops.

Sanghyang Sampat Dance (Tari Sang Hyang Sampat Bali)

Tari Sanghyang Sampat is a variation of the Sanghyang Dance and is categorized as "wali" or sacred dance. This dance is performed as part of the Nangluk Mrana procession in the Ngusaba Ceremony just before the rice harvest. The Sanghyang Sampat ritual aims to repel reinforcements, protecting agricultural crops from being attacked by pests (leafhoppers, rats) and plant diseases so that the harvest is successful.

Sanghyang Jaran Dance (Tari Sanghyang Jaran Bali)

Sanghyang Jaran Dance is considered as "wali" or sacred dance. The dancer, in a trance, walks barefoot and kicking the embers made of coconut shells. The dance is accompanied by choral singing and invocation of trance. This sacred dance is performed as a repellent reinforcement, when disease or disaster strikes the community.

Wirayuda Dance (Tari Wirayuda Bali)

Tari Wirayuda is the work of dance choreographer I Wayan Dibia, SST, MA. The dance was created in 1979. This dance depicts a group of brave Balinese Dwipa soldiers armed with spears, getting ready to the battlefield.
