Pura Dalem Puri is one of the temples in Besakih Temple Complex, lies about one kilometer to the south-west of Pura Penataran Agung. This holy temple is related to certain ceremonies involving the deitified souls of deceased family members. This is said to be the place where the holy souls are staying after the death ritual (Ngaben and Nyekah). The family will bring back the souls of their family members to be prayed at the family house temple or "merajan".
Pura Banua Kawan is one of Besakih Temple Complex, lies about 200 meters down-ridge from Pura Penataran Agung. This is a sacred temple dedicated to worshiping Ida Bhatari Sri or Dewi Sri as the goddess of rice, fertility and prosperity.

Pura Bangun Sakti is one of the Besakih Temple Complex. The word "bangun sakti" means awaken (mystic) power. This sacred temple is dedicated to worshiping Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa in manifestation as I Dewa Bangun Sakti, who is identified with the cosmic dragon Sang Hyang Anantabhoga. This is said that Sang Naga Anantabhoga is the lord of the seven levels of the earth/underworld, known as sapta patala or sapta pretiwi.

Batu Madeg Temple is one of the holy temples of the Besakih Temple Complex. This temple is located in the north of Penataran Agung Temple. Batu Madeg in Balinese is called "batu ngadeg", which means standing stone. This upright stone is also known as a menhir, a tall and vertically placed standing stone dating from the megalithic era.
